Mad Dawg Does Well at Club Championships

On April 14th, Mad Dawg competed at the Sacramento Area Wrestling Association (SAWA) Club Championships hosted by Vista Del Lago High School.

Mad Dawg was well represented and won 2 of the 4 team trophies. The Bantam/Intermediate group (5-8 year olds) and the Junior Division (11th and 12th graders) both earned the first place trophy for their respective divisions.

Here are the champions for the little kids:

1st Place Freestyle: Andrew Suarez, Nox Cruzat, Colton Meixner, Jordan Yi, Kingston Cruzat

1st Place Folkstyle: Nox Cruzat, Benjamin Turner, Jordan Yi, Kyle Hara

Also, Robb Gunn (Schoolboy) went all three styles and earned a medal in Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman.

For the high school division, Evan Taylor won gold in all three styles, and Mad Dawg had numerous medalists and champions to help bring home the 1st place trophy as the top wrestling club in the area once again.
